I've heard something about the first step to fight -ism is admitting that you're in trouble. Well yes, I admit, Im addicted. Its probably same old story, you've got your first chars for free and you ends up buying more and more. Trapped..

So I have lots of alts, lots of plans and wondering how you guys manage to stick with just one or two chars until you're lvl 5000 or whenever one supposed to stop lvling.
Right now Im camping for some stuff for the first time and, I hope dont have to do it a lot..
But to the point, anarch crashes when I duallog two specific chars, my keeper and my ma. I've tried different combinations, but it seems its just the two I mentioned whos making trouble. My ao-friend think its an error in the char-files saved on my pc, and the only way to fix it, is to reroll one of them. Or ofc dont duallog those two. But MA/keeper seems such a good combo..
Any suggestions?

P.S. And please, if its not fixable by a five year old, just say reroll

If both instances are running, and you keep alt tabbing between them, your game most likely will crash. I found that you need to minimize the one your are currently using, before you switch to the other. So unless you got two computers sitting independently next to oneanother for multitasking, playing with two toons the way it seems to me that you are doing, isnt very feasable.

No I dont alt-tab, i mostly use mouse because Im not good with the keyboard.
Not that Im any good with the rest, heh..

The reason for ma/keeper combo is the keeper auras and nano. Havent tested it yet, cause crashing, but my idea is that I dont have to "play" keeper, just follow and keep auras going while I do everything with my MA, maybe doing it a little faster than ma alone. And its fun trying things.
Usually I only dual for transfers and buffing, or maybe help myself getting some nodrop items.
It is too much for my pc, and me, going dual all the time. Well, mostly me then, to be honest

AO is very very fussy about running 2 clients with different settings...especially audio settings.

For example, if I log one toon with sound switched on, and another toon with sound disabled, the game crashes within seconds.

So, make sure all your toons have the exact same audio/visual preferences. No guarantees, but it might help.

If Im to dual for some length of time, I turn off sound on one of them, works fine. Only trouble is the settings, sometimes they switch when I log on again, so theres no sound at all. And fighting without some bangs and urghs and the final "aaaarrghh" is meaningless to me, very frustrated until I discovered why the sound was gone.

But then again, most of my dualing is non-combat, maybe thats why it havent crashed before. I suppose there is more work for pc with two clients whos demanding lot of graphic changes and updates.

But its ok, Im back to doing missions with ma alone trying to make some money for keeper symbiants. And its kinda fun with fists, a little tired of keeper scything
