A little about PvP in tower battles

----------------------------------------------
Some basics and tech:
----------------------------------------------

:D Every team must have an appointed teamleader
The teamleader decides when and where to move/rush and is the one who pick targets.
:D Every team leader should have the /macro Target Target: %f
This to show the team members who the leader has chosen to attack.
:D Every team member should have the /macro Assist /assist
Team members should have their team leader targeted (via f1-f6 key) at all times, not tabbing for enemies. When then leader have picked a target, hit the assist macro and attack. When the enemy is down, go back to target the teamleader, repeat...
:D All in the team should keep the minimap open so they easily can follow the team movements and stay together.

----------------------------------------------
Optional but very usable:
----------------------------------------------

:D A secondary team leader who takes over if the primary one bites the dust

:D Another team leader macro: /macro Next Next target: %t
With this a team leader can target the next enemy to attack, while still fighting the first, and show the teammembers in advance what to attack next. The member can then chose either to go the normal routine via assist teamleader or target directly if its faster for the situation. Really need to be practised in advance, for instance on mobs in team missions.
:D A macro called for example /macro TargetID /targetid that points to a script as follows:

Scriptname : targetid
Code: Select all
/tell helpbot whois %t

This macro/script gives fast(if helpbot replies as fast as it should) info in the chat of the targeted persons profession and lvl. Especially nifty when standing and staring at enemies from/in 75% zone

----------------------------------------------

Does this sound complicated? Its not and with very little practice, the routines will be found very fast (well, the optional Next Target may be needing some more practice, but is still fully doable)
For pratice: do this in team missions on mobs, or why not gather a team and run around and just target people in Tir, you get the combat lag there aswell  (just keep stuff on the team channel and not in vicinity, or people will think you are a raving bunch of lunatics... )

Stay alive, stay cool and have fun 8)

PS. I dont claim to be a pro at this, I just threw this stuff together from thoughts I have and stuff Ive been testing. Input and feedback on this would be appreciated DS.
