Well, aint I stupid. WHY oh WHY did I make my current names without knowing squat about the game?

My current names are less of a nickname and more of a real name..geez

Flameforge>Volais
Cogs>Xyther

in nicknames that is. Yall have cool names...but god,
John "Volais" Lockhart? Eric "Xyther" Conner? Well...I guess I am to blame. I didnt learn about the whole full name thing until much later on, and I began writing my story as a drove home with my newly purchased game (Though it has evolved quite a bit).

If Only I could change it now...alas..Im kinda used to them names.

Also...Flame, Cogs, Cil, Big....your banners..your names look cool on them banners...Im sure you cant wait to see the one Im workin on for Vol.

Im guessin this is just pointless ranting...so whatever

I've never seen any problem with your names -- they're fine to me. There are far worse ones out there, as you've no doubt noticed.

if u drop the numbers behind the name it might work, but people would take u for a MetalGear Solid player :D

(( on the other hand if names not all taken u could get a brother in Liquidsnake ))

I allways try to pick names that relate to something. Like Bigswede for example, it's an old nick I've used as a Quake and CS player over the years. Salvor "Hardin" Hardin is a character in Isaac Asimovs Foundation trilogy.
Creating names can be troublesome. It's the part that takes the longest time for me when creating a new character. I want it to relate to either a character known in a story or to the profession I choose, or pehaps to the persons characteristics. Direttore for example is a crat, and ofc the name is italian for CEO.

The name you choose stays with the character for its lifetime. People relate to it and remember who you are.

Hmm... you know... Hejiro and Mediera came from my Diablo2 paladin and amazon, respectively Image

I'm not sure how Techomo, my engie, developed... I think an amalgamation of "tech" and letter bashing. Interestingly, people often read it as "tech-homo" and give him lip about it...

I'll let you in on a secret too: Flameforge was originally an atrox enforcer! But I just could not stand that huge 'trox body ROFL.

HEY, There is nothing wrong with atroxes! Many many ladies prefer the muscles before short thin weaklings.
