Hello fellow Cerbs!

I know I haven't been on a whole lot as of late, but I thought I might come and give you all a heads up on the goings on here.

Jpegg and Smacdevil probobly remember that I live in San Diego. For those who aren't familiar, this city is just north of the Mexico border on California's west coast. You may have seen what's going on here on the news, and if not, southern California is seeing what's probobly it's worst firestorm ever.

Around 1500 homes have been destroyed by fires since Sunday (about 350 of those here in San Diego), and at the moment, air quality is extremely hazardous for everyone. Matter of fact, I wear one of those paper face masks when travelling around outside. Bleh!! Soooo.. smokey! Worse yet, the fires are still burning (despite 4000 firefighters fighting the blaze in San Diego alone) and communities are still being evacuated.

Good news personally: even though I know a few people who have lost their homes, all of my friends, family, and loved-ones are safe and sound. Point being, please say a little prayer for us :o :o :o . Oh yeah, I still have an internet connection so I can hop on and level-up for the first time in a year (only 500k xp from 155, lol).

Take care all,

-Mon :)

Mon,

Really happy you are safe. In northern California here myself and we have been watching with increasing dread at the events unfolding in the fire areas. Very bad stuff.

I was raised in the Los Angeles area in the San Fernando Valley and we went through it about once every year or two. Not fun. Hope you and yours keep it safe!

Thanks so much for your thoughts!

We actually have blue skies where I live now, due to a nice on-shore breeze. FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) is here now, providing some solid services to those who have lost so much. That's good news to be sure.

Here's a link for anyone who might want to have a look at the local news perspective. You can find images and maps here:

I'm moving into a new apartment on Friday. The biggest reason for me leaving Rubi-Ka last December was moving into the place I am in now, so I'm sure that this will allow me to be back with you all soon. Hehe, Jpegg: I'm really looking foward to your offer of help getting equipped; I can't help but feel a little gimped these days with all the new stuff around...

Take care and see you soon,

-Mon :)
