err, where have u been Max
it's been 1st September for a loooong time now
Personally I'm dreading another unfinished piece of software being released (except for the newbie area of course)... but then I'm just a cynical old git
Mind you, they've never said which year the 1st Sept date is in

Lol. yeah, and players harrasing Ergo in Adonis for access to Penumbra after one week of play. Dont think FC takes into account that there are more than just 10 people playing 24/7

Geez...you people are so cynical.
Ya want an example of Expansion packs so awful that the killed off about half of their fan base?
Everquest: Shadows of Luclin
Everquest: Planes of Power
two names I shall curse forever more

Whereas AO can kill off half their fanbase with just a patch or two

To be honest though most people seems to reactivate their account so AO can't be all that bad compared to the competition.

On a related note, just received email from FC saying my AI box has shipped and giving me my bonus key
But it won't activate until Sept 1st...
A cynic through experience, but kinda looking forward to AI none the less
will no doubt eat my words after 2months of AI hell tho :/

I can guarantee you that the first 14 days will most likely be patching as always. The content of AI is much lighter than SL so there shouldn't be as much things that are potential playstoppers.
Must admit that I'm more than a bit curious what they'll annonounce next spring though.... Don't quote me on this but I'm guessing something related to the 'lost' playfields of RK.
