Scary, and very depressing isn't it.

Ok...axp isn't that important as xp/sk...perks are weaker and no additional Ip comes from it. But I feel sorry for those that can't play at regular hours or for longer timeframe (yes, alien attacks are praticly on demand, but it still takes some time for teams to assemble, etc). Also it's in a way empty contects, since rewards (both in skill and items) don't reflect difficulty and timesink involved.

I for one, aren't that bothered about axp, I'm in it for the fun.

Axp is a bonus and the perks, although not insane and all powerful do provide some bonus :D

I feel sorry the most for NTs... the new DoTs they got are all AI level locked... having to wait years to get to use some new nano isn't much incentive ;)

I just don't understand why they feel the need to make it such a chore... it's a game after all, if people wanna rush and get AT30 then let em, I don't know wot the harm is... people got to 220 and are still playing, it's not like they're gonna lose _that_ many customers if the hardcore folks rush to the max level... surely?!?

Oh well, its 'probably set in stone' as CZ stated, so it might change in the coming patches... but like Jasp says, it's fun to team up and fight the good fight with my fellow guildies anyway, if I get the odd level in a year or two all well n good ... so long as we all have fun along the way :D

a 30-40% damage boost is tied up in AI levels for NTs, i.e. a large part of the NT 'fixes', so as an NT this hurts big time.

Personally I don't see why the 220s hitting DR30 in 3-4 months is an issue, it would have taken the majority of us 1-2 years anyway. I am averaging less than 10k AXP a day, so to use the 211 DoT will potentially take me 7 years.

Not realy all that much to be had in AI levels, worth worrying about for fixers. So I dont realy care all that much. I only attend because its fun when it gets chaotic. Thinking selfish ofcourse, but I have stopped listening to the different profs complaints about nerfs and whatnot. Seems every prof got some sort of griefences. Some for having a hard time getting those levels to access better damage, others for not realy getting much at all. So...what is worse? having something to look forward, albeit hard to reach? Or nothing at all? Eye of the beholder I guess. I for one is joining Jasper in his statement. I am here to do my share, smacking ET over the head until the buzzing sound makes him think he just phoned home.

Simple, would you like your Alien SMG to have a DR28 wear req? :P

You missed my point mate. Your question should read. Would you like a SMG with a 28DR wear req, or no SMG at all?

Heh, I think we will have to agree to disagree but put it this way:

NT - Weapon is level locked
All other weapon - Not level locked

Fair?

(P.S Chef, I don't think we are fighting, just discussing :))

hehe. I dont give up that easy.

The SMG is level locked in a certain way tho, since It needs to be 280+ to even start to compare with the others in damage. And with the requierments to wear, you would need to be 215 pluss. and even then, you wouldnt do more than perhaps 5-10% more damage than with todays weapons :?

LOL.. ok I will give it another go too. :D

The skills reqs. on the DoTs are such that you need to be 211+, 215+, 219+ to cast without mokies+wrangle so similar situation, and they only give a 4-10% boost in and of themselves.

;)
