I've been sharing the account dorde is on with a guy from rimor. And he has been doing a lot of bad things so I've decided to simply stop having conntact or beeing friend with him. This means I gotta get a new account and start a new character.

I'm getting a new account this weekend and hoping to get back in business as soon as I can. Will contact cogs or any of the advisors when I'm back in game.

Cyas soon! :D/

Glad to hear you have decided to get your own account, as letting other ppl use your account is a bannable offence according to the End User License Agreement :-''

;) Just in case you ever wake up in a vendetta kinda mood and feel like hmm... how can I put it... making this ex friend who's been doing bad thingies maybe... get banned n stuff... I dont know. Was just a passing split second thought I wanted to maybe write down but .......

oh... its gone now... What was I talking about?

Im sorry to hear about your troubles, and i hope this illbehaving exfriend gets what he deserves for ruining your gameplay and costing you more money on the side.

But as for sharing account with a friend, i see nothing illegall or wrong with it... and i consider FC´s policy for it to be stupidity.
Whats wrong with sharing account with a friend you trust?
I´d say its in the hands of the account holder to decide if they have trustworthy enough friends to give their creditcard details in hand. (as this same password does control your subscription too)
But, for gameplay id say it helps alot to have a friend´s account on handy and viceversa.
Offcourse many players have multiple accounts for themself, but for those who cannot afford the time&money investment for it it helps to have this kind of access to additional account...

If id get banned for doing this, what clearly does not meet the criteria of criminal activity, i would pursue FC for fraud. Fraud criterias meet when customer has paid for services for sometime onwards and FC bans the player for EULA violation, minor like this one. FC cannot prove it to be serious offence, discriminated action of one or many parties.
So, customers right code would rule for favour of the customer...im pretty sure of that.
And if that would not happen, i would just head to FC´s office and kick the sheit of every pencil neck there

You may be right Timpuri, but who wants to wait for weeks and months for a trial to come up, while your account remains banned? Better not to risk it, imo.

Well, yeah guess your right on that point...
Maybe if that happened to me id just go to another game and cast a evil spell n FC
But, still it would eat me alive cause i know im right on this one...just the money wasted on legal actions to prove it would be too much for my pockets

I don't see how you could take any action against FC, even under this "customer's right" you mention. Every time you start the game you are confirming that you know the contents of the EULA and will abide by it. Almost anything could go in there and if you think it's wrong and "disobey" then I don't see how you'd have any grounds.

Just being devil's advocate ;)

I would have to agree with Flame here. Everytime you press the "Accept" button on the EULA, you have given them the ok. I guess its like this, basically: If you dont like whats in the EULA, dont press the Accept button.

Sad, but true..

But, its the content of Eula and the necessity to accept the Eula as is that might not be waterproof. If you take a example of banning due to a FC´s decisive rule against sharing a account, which leads customer losing money is not that simple in the law. There is not any laws for E-commerse but there is common sense. So FC would be asked to show what damage this person did by sharing account. (we´re talking about a John Doe, who did not abuse the game in anyway...just share a account)
This is the thing im in doubt if FC would be in clear water with the laws&regulations.
But, if it all leads to the thing that a said person has clicked YES when asked to and therefor looses all rights on hes money involved i´d think were all sheeps on the way to slaughterhouse. This kind of rules&actions should not be tolerated because then it means we got no rights and companies would take the money and then click ban... Aint that the best business idea ever

Well, Timpuri...no matter how you look at it, the person "loosing" money, sharing his account, has conceded to the terms in the EULA the moment he presses Accept :) .....In a case like this, you are knowingly in the wrong, willingly accepting terms and conditions, then come crying when the consequences hit you over the head. If you cannot accept whats in the EULA, do not Accept it........its really that simple.

About the sharing being bannable...

I might agree on it being a stupid thing but I can also see why it is like this.

One player - one account - one payment
Two players - two accounts - two payments

Simple as that really. FC is making money on this and will of course want every player to pay for it.

I love to compare a lil bit stupid things so... if you and your friend is going to the movies... you think the cinema will say ok to your request off only paying for one ticket since you and your friend will be sharing seat? ;)

Regards

Minero
