Logged on or logged off?

Hiya guys,

Mawerick pointed out something last week to me when I changed toons. I'm not sure if anyone has picked up on this but when I log out and then log on under a different toon, I'm no longer getting my login display message on GC, rather 'Clericon has logged out' when I just logged in as Clericon.

In effect, what's happening is I'm still showing as logged in under a toon when I've logged out. I can literally log four toons in one after the other and all four will stay logged in on your friends list :(

So I'm getting tells from people on characters who arent logged in and I cant see these tells cos theyre not offline ones.

So if it looks like I'm ignoring you, I'm actually not cos the toons your tryin to contact aren't even online.

Does anyone know why this might be the case?

I had this problem a while back, it seems like if you do a log off to the login screen instead of logging off to windows this happens quite often. If you do a complete logoff to windows it seems to resolve the problem.

I'm not sure, but I think all tells to logged off char still get's processed as such....so you'll get them when logging back.

I can confirm it's _not_ a mrsbot problem, since I still see you logged in more than once on my friends list... as Nusse says, looks like a bug in the chat server if you don't fully log out perhaps? So since mrsbot is just another character, she is also getting confused by her friends list also seeing you twice or more :)

I had the same thought last night and mentioned it to Maw. So Ive done the 'log to windows' thing today instead and it seems to have worked.

Thankyou for helping guys, I'll see how this works out now and hopefully I wont be playing 300 characters all at once ;)

Great info Nusse. I was having the same problem and logging all the way to windows fixed it. Thank you
