I can't believe this TV series was under my radar for so long. I'd heard murmurs of it on the web for a long time but never really knew anything about it. Then heard about some movie version but didn't know about that either.

So I decided to rent Firefly season 1 to try it out. Best show I've watched in ages! It's sci-fi and western, humourous and dark, bubbly and serious.

Joss Whedon's (Buffy, Angel) characters really make the show - they're fun and interesting, each with a purpose, and well acted.

Recommended!

Aye, it's a great show, a real shame it was cancelled so early.

Damn them US TV-networks.

Simon seemed somewhat out of character.... but definately a fun movie. I've still yet to talk to anyone who has been to see Serenity but not watched Firefly. I just don't think there would be the same level of emotional connection.
