Looks like we have many sweet bugfixes and improvements ahead of us, if the changes in the latest patch on TestLive get through :)

OMG!

-Pets will now clear their hatlist on /pet attack, /pet behind and /pet follow.

Although I'm sure what list of hats the pets keep....

And even more love

-Pets no longer attack anything that has its master on the hatelist, only those actually *attacking* the master's team or their pets.

Hmm, I might need to get my ass ingame again when this patch hits :)

additional:

From whats just been patches to testlive, just from my observation so far:

Biomare/Foremans is redesigned and level locked at 100, new challenges and loot. (Collar of Amplification)
No more reclaim. You spawn with your items still in inv
New textures everywhere
New NT Nukes, Calms, Roots. Roots/Calms Upload 2 versions, deck and no-deck. Nukes have NR debuff that stacks 3 times. Top nuke is 2150 dmg, 3.19/1.82, 55% NR, 1699 MC/PM, 1k-3k NR debuff. Nukes require deck.

wander why the change to reclaim?

some new things for NTs :) looks like traders have been overlooked tho :(

If you take out reclaim you remove a massive overhead from the servers as people spam the reclaim terminal for their items. The terminal then has to determine what it contains in relation to what was in your inverntory and associated backpacks for each one.

It is intended I believe to reduce lag, and it has a great potential to do so, especially in shopping and zoning, as reclaim is a zone transfer too.

Not sure exactly what it will mean for looting and such, or if you will still have to use a scanner to save in that area, we can only assume that all this stays the same.

I do feel that the NT's are either going to cry tears of joy over this or cry tears of frustration as too little has been done and it will be seen as a token from FC. I really hope for them that it is the former, rather than the latter :)

One note on the NT nukes it that in PvP NT Nukes rarely fail to land and including an NR debuff in there is likely to cause an outcry against NT's and calls for much nerfing. I hope that anything along these lines is ironed out before LE.

Foremans.................................GET YOUR TIM SCOPES NOW
If you are TL4 and above get your TIM scopes now as you may not be able to be warped in after TL3, and your CDR's for that matter.

New textures......hmm....any news on an update that include a DX8+ version of the graphics engine, surely even with Foremans being updated the new content cannot account for 105mb. Any new textures may offset any lag reduction seen from the benefits of losing reclaim, or was reclaim lost to counter the additional lag.

It certainly looks like a lot of work from FC and a lot of people will be happy, lets see what hits Live and when :D

reclaim was taken out due to all the exploits being used with them, plain and simple... you save by a scanner just as before, but you don't loose your inventory. This also means you loose that extra storage space that I know some people are using it for.

there is no new graphics engine, but ground textures have been updated and implemented all over Rubi-Ka. Some areas have gotten a total make-over, like Old Athens. Believe me it does make a difference

When it come to Foremans, well that was about time if you ask me. That place is not used for anything more than the big guys getting their loot. The level-range it was intended for could just not compete there.

can you get a beacon warp in to biomare if you are out of the level range - ala CoH?

I believe that is the case on test according to what has been posted on the official forum, but not sure, perhaps MissCarmen can confirm this for us.

Reclaim: IMO it didnt serve any other purpose than to mess up an inventory you spent some time getting orginized. Of all the games I have tried (mmorpg games), this is the only game with this implemented. Some items needs to be reclaimed, some dont o.O the next time you take a dirt dive, different items need to be claimed, and items you claimed not more than 10 mins ago, are safely in inventory.

So apart from what Misscarmen sais, I would beleive that FC recognize the uselesness of the reclaim booth, and how obsolete it has become when comparing AO to other games. In todays competion for customers, you dont wanna add stuff that cause frustration to the players ;)

Oh no, you really wouldn't want this patch right now :)

As it is, self-only perks and medkits/stims/coils are resisted by you 100% of the time, and pets refuse to follow on every single zone.

Still want it now? :)
