Well, for AO you don't need a state of the art one, just check req....

You'll get lagged out of your brains, true, but such a PC won't be a big investment.

Well i hawe some equipment from before so i hope i just need a new mainboard and a new CPU, il up my RAM while im at it too and THAT help alot to prevent lag/memorydrop in AO.
Found some afordable stuff and posting some links here so u can hawe a look at it.

For mainboard and CPU
http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.asp?sku=308335
For graphic`s (pos dual with SLI)
http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.asp?sku=317389&view=detailed

for this pack it cost me 5545NOK or about 693 Euro or 853$ for u guys over there ;)
This way il end up with about 2G RAM with the RAM i had from before

anyway if u think u find a better solution for this amount of creds plz feel free to gime input

im no computer geek, so cant give you examples of what to buy. Can only give you a store wich i have used before. They was cheap and fast. Sending it in a PM to you here. Dont want to advertise for stores on the forum ;-)

Most important is getting good quality parts that run well together, so if the store is selling mainboard + CPU + RAM as a package, you can probably rely on this combo having been tested by the store as well as other customers who bought it. While I would have invested a little bit more in CPU, it seems like you're getting good value for money, that is you are getting the RAM for free when comparing with the separate prices for mobo and CPU.

Good luck building :)

Most important thing is to stay away from ATI cards if you going to play AO I think. I'm quite sure my constant crashes to desktop happen because AO just doesn't work well with my graphics card/driver.. :(
