Any guesses why my avatar won't upload? I keep getting that crap saying it's too big, but I've resized it and everything.

Maybe it's....too big?
Post it as an img? Use second button from right , add link and use said button again. Will be easier to judge why it wont load if we see it.

psy had the same problem recently - jasp said the php is bugged I think. You have to link to the file somewhere else instead of uploading it

Yes it's a problem with this version of phpBB, unfortunately. I can host any avatars, though, if you email to me.

Yes, just use "Upload Avatar from a URL" or "Link to off-site Avatar". AFAIK it's only the "upload from your machine" which does not work currently.

Go to Start-Run-Command.
Type in the following and press ok
mspaint
Now draw something really cool of the appropriate size.
Hey presto!!!...you now got the greatest avatar in history.
Alternatively, go to
http://www.avatarity.com/ or use that great invention of our time....google.
