I have ~14% going into research and have almost done all level 5s , although I will probably soon concentrate on one line, which gives +25 Stamina at level 10. I probably should be put more XP into it to hit the caps but TBH I'd much prefer to level.
And yeah Ofab looks super but getting the VP.......

You get the VP from battlestation and LE missions. The range you are in now shuld be very active.
