No...but as far as I understand your faction quota will be empty when entering the game at lvl200, so you need to fill that quota before you start gaining proper Shadowknowledge. As I interpret this, we have some work to do before we can start the actual process of gaining the Shadowknowledge.
Please set me straight, if I misinterpret that post.

Hmm. It's something like: you're level 200, you don't get regular XP but Shadowknowledge. Your Shadowknowledge is gimped until you get friendly with your faction. So you need to go kill mucho crap to get those points.
For people <200, we still receive regular XP and will get faction points at the same time.
Maybe.

Hmm..ok, we will gather shadowknowledge from day 1, but wont gain the full potential until we have maxed our faction quota.
We will be Redeemed.....one day!

From a related forum thread (not official or anything):
When an established char gets into SL, you will be in the middle with 0 FP. Regardless of side, you can then start earning faction points towards redeemed or unredeemed. THE FARTHER you are towards either side, the more SK you will get per kill.
This also means that it should be possible to change your faction, although if are a long way "down" either path, it will probably take some effort.

hehe yea but the problems is that u loose faction points that you have gained if u kill mobs or NPC's with u'r faction., but this is offcourse just the amount worth the kill

It just means our hunting grounds become Unredeemed temples etc. Faction will be quite easy for low level players to build up, not sure how fast it will build for 200s.
