Madrigal song of ancient times filled Cogs apartment, as he sipped his whiskey.......seemingly contemplating his fat cigar.....slumped in his favorite recliner. Tonight, there was a young recruit on his mind again..someone he could not quite place..
"Volais".....Cogs muttered to himself......."who are you really?"....
...whiskey making soft love to his tongue.......
Cogs had been studying Volais for some time now......finding the young man to be quite an upstart.......what he could not figure out was his strong interest in base policy, attacks....his rather disrespectful behavior to his fellow guildie......especially some of the women.
But most worriesome.....his interest in Eg politics and land control issues...and his sudden disappearances......
"spies"..thinking out aloud..."spies come in many shapes and forms"....

As the ancient multi-layered barytone song rose to its crescendo, Cogs poured himself another whiskey...pondering on.....
