((needed this today)) ...((somebody fill in start)).....

Radioactive container was found inside a wooden shack up in Hope. it looked to unstable to be carried out in public.
me wirecutter mounted up battlesuit and picked up the container, tells the others to take a hiding some steps back before I disable container.

red wire <---- "clip"
blue wire <--- "clip"

hmmm strange sound comming from inside, like it's powering down. I'm happy good job I'm thinking for myself.

BOOOOOOOOOMM!!!!!!!!!!

The Damn container was trapped. I got blown up.( good heavens I was wearing my airtight and higly secure battlesuit )

wake up 2 minutes later at reclaim depot, to the sound "FIRE IN THE HOLE" did they ever check if I was ok inside my suit. they blew up the shack to secure the contamination for ever, they almost burried me alive in there. (don't hold a grudge though since none of them are profesionals in the medicdepartment, they did a BANG up good job anyways)

just wonder what happend to Irori, <--- rumors had it she left planet

((Sorry for spelling mistakes and whatever. Just wrote this straight out, no revisions...))

The bright suns were peeking over the horizon as Irori carefully packed away the night's experiments. Beakers of safely contained chemicals, agents and organisms were placed gently into racks, to be packed away in tempurature-controlled storage tanks, ready to be returned to the nearby cave.

The young nano-technician stood up and stretched, observed her surroundings. The science camp was in a shallow crater, in the bleak desert that is the Wailing Wastes -- a remote location safe from prying eyes.

Mutants that shared the crater were both welcome and an irritant. Oft-times they tended to harrass the scientists working in the camp, some times knocking about or breaking equipment in their curiosity, but they were tolerated, proving to be useful "guinea-pigs" for experimentation.

Irori watched as the others in her team busied themselves with the pack-up work, removing sensitive ingredients from the harsh sunlight into their cool, dark cave. Simon, a fellow nano-tech, smiled patiently as he jostled past, encouraged her to hurry up.

A glint of light on the rim of the crater caught her attention. She held up her hand to block the sunrays and peered into the distance. What was that? A person? It... it looked like--

Plasma shot from the rim. A cry of pain. Irori spun. Simon! He crumpled to the ground, his chest seared, bloodied and smoking, glass smashing about him as equipment dropped from his lifeless hands. Irori screamed.

Shouts now, figures running down into the crater. More shots ringing out. The beakers before Irori exploded as they were hit by bullets, the contents splashing on her skin, scrapnels cutting her. She was wild-eyed, scared witless, but kept low to the ground. The other scientists were running about madly, some trying to collect equipment to keep safe, the rest attempting to escape the crater and the trigger-happy madmen.

The bandits rushed into the camp, kicking over tables, rummaging through bags and possessions. Some took pot-shots at retreating scientists.

Irori then noticed Carie, the head scientist, in the camp's centre, waving her arms and pleading the men to stop. Some men grabbed her roughly, threw her to the ground. They stood over her, guns threatening, yelling at her, demanding something. The key! They wanted the key to our storage building where we keep our finished experiments!

Carie was struggling as they held her down, saying she didn't know anything about a key. Irori watched numbly as the bandits shot her point-blank. They looted her coat, found what they sought, cheered.

She hoped they would leave. Oh goddess, how she prayed they'd leave. But they didn't. Obviously there were more possession to search through and loot, and the men set to it.

Tears now streaming down her face, Irori realised she must leave. She stumbled over sand and rock as she kept to the shadows, eventually escaping the crater and the destruction behind her.

As she ran through the Wastes, she became aware of the burning in her skin. The chemicals. They'd splashed on her skin, some in her blood. It was painful now, and her vision became blurred. She fought against it, hurried forward, hurried toward West Athen... where she prayed again... prayed there would be aid there.

(( By the way, I believe Wire saw this as a series of people's accounts of the event. Not necessarily in chronological order, but each through the eyes, so to speak, of those who participated. C'mon and add your experience :) ))

Afternoon business was slow. Hot days tend to make it so, especially since the omni-clan relations began to tense with all the tower wars going on. Cashie sat in her usual spot in Rome Blue where she knew people would look for her to trade stuff. A specialist she was, specialist in shady business. Those who came to her to buy or sell goods were not the kind of people you see in ordinary shops. They were shadows who did their business in the dim lights of the night, the lowlife scum that allways follow the scent of money, trying their best to get as much as possible even if it meant stealing, threatening, kidnapping or just killing off anyone standing in their way.

Some lowlife junkie had just bought some Notum enriched hallucigenic acid from her, and was walking away with shaky hands. Cashie knew that the first chance he got, he would do his best to overdose and perma-kill himself.

As she turned in disgust a small opifex bandit she recognized as one of Baakyns thugs came up to her with heavy breathing as if he had ran the Rome marathon. She had got an order for a certain key to be stolen in a camp in Wailing Wastes and had sent Baakyn and his gang to get it. The opifex told her he had the key, but had lost Baakyn on the way back. Cashie didnt beleive the story for a second and offered half the amount agreed with Baakyn for the key. The opifex, clearly in a hurry to disappear as fast as possible, accepted the credits with a hurting face. He left with the words "Some day I will rip your greedy heart out, Cashie!"
Yeah right, she thought. He wouldn't last a day if he left Baakyn alive.

With the opifex thug gone she comm'ed the buyer for the key, but someone else answered. "Who is this?" she asked. "My name is of no concern, you have been tagged for destruction for distributing illegal substances and stolen goods. Stay where you are, We have you pinpointed and you should see the arresting team any minute now."
She didn't give the voice a chance to finish its line and smashed the comm against the rock she was sitting on, rushed out the door and headed for the gate to Rome Red.

(Will continue tomorrow, too tired now)

.......as Cogs relaxed in his recliner that evening, whiskey in the glass and a freshly lit cigar in hand, it was clear to him that this had by no means been an ordinary day.
It had started out well. Bluemeenie, the fixer wonderboy of the RKFF guild had asked for assistance in erradicating some rather bothersome beings up in Perpetual Wastelands. A party was quickly assembled, consisting of himself, Bluemeenie, Mookids, Renegader and Wirecutter. Cogs had also uploaded the shell of his latest robotic design, complete with the new agression subsystem he had just developed.
Suffice to say, that as evening drew close, the scavengers of PW had enough to feed upon and keep them happy for several days, and the party decided it was time to celebrate their success at the Cup with some heavy drinking.
Arriving at the Cup, finding it almost empty, Cogs promptly ordered a round of cold beer, and drinking commenced. The party was soon joined by Auropia, a rather sweet looking doctor, with a flare for the good joke and the company of men. Happiness ensued.....
........but, alas, not for long. Suddenly, a young woman staggered in thru the door, her clothes in tatters.....and coughing wildly.......
((cue Iroris story, above))
.....this woman needed help, and Cogs rallied his friends to aid the fear stricken and clearly sick Iroris.
Having heard her story, and based on the clues therein, the party set course for Wailing Wastes, speeding towards Boka Crater where the camp had been located. Upon arriving at the location, it was quickly clear to the party that foul play had been going on. Especialy one torn body had them all gagging, Cogs no exception. Cogs deployed Wheels to patrol the perimeter, unsuccessfully. But, before long Renegader and Bluemeenie reported contact with an Omni employee close to a cave entrance.......Cogs and the rest of the party quickly assembled there....
The man, Baakyn was his name, was clearly staggered and not feeling very comfortable with the situation as it unfolded. It soon became clear that this pig were in more ways than one connected to the atrocities that had taken place in the crater.
As both Renegader and Wheels(note to self: debug Wheels's agressions subsystem) became more and more agressive in their attitude towards Baakyn, he decided to give it all up, and told them that most answers to the mystery would be solved by aquiring a key, leading to a certain location. Baakyn was at this point so nervous that he even gave up informatiojn on where a specific trader could be found, that would now be holding said key.
Bluemeenie, brave as always, volunteered to set off to Rome Blue, and retreive the key from the trader.
As is usual, we kept open comms, awaiting report from Bluemeenie on his mission...from what ensued Bluemeenie was led directly into the hands of the enemy, and was blasted to oblivion as we all listened........there is no mistaking the sound of hot plasma tearing thrugh metal and bone......
The party was now ready to simply kill Baakyn...slowly if at all possible, Renegader was so mad by now his beam was glowing....something that did not evade the eyes of a rather terrified Baakyn, who with hands tied, urged us to spare his life and that babbled incoherently that we would find said trader in the area of ICC, if we hurried. Wirecutter had all this time kept the wildlife at bay, with his calming abilitites. We bad Baakyn a safe trip to hell, yalmed up, and watched as Wirecutter lifted his calm.......the ensuing sight was grisly to say the least....
Arriving at ICC, Auropia, Mookids and Cogs discreetly set about the task of locating the Omni trader. AS usual, ICC was filled with people of different factions, all milling to and fro.
As luck would have it, we happened upon a seedy looking character by the name of Cashie, loudly declaring she had a key for sale. Cogs, being of prudent mind, couldnt help himself thinking that this was obviously the scum of Rubi-Ka, and barely managed to keep it to himself, so as not to jeopardize the purchase. Luckily, Auropia took charge of the situation, and after some haggling over the price, secured the object.
Cogs bade Cashie a rotten day, and the party set off again, this time for Hope. The location was given by an encrypted code on the key, but as Wheels was equipped with the latest decryption software, dechiffering it was an easy task.
At this stage, Auropia was called away, and rejoined by Renegader, Mookids and Cogs met up with Wirecutter in Hope....outside a wooden shack.....
