NCU ring

Postby Hejiro » Mon Dec 16, 2002 6:43 am

Flame has been camping the Subway boss "Eumenides" for sooo long now and FINALLY found one of the +5 NCU rings. It was a nice ring to have, but with carb adding so much NCU and also finding a nice +5 melee dmg ring, I'm not using it anymore.

It is my quest to get at least one more of these rings so I can keep one and I might try selling the other.

I think they might be nice rings just to have around for guildies when they need an extra 5 or 10 NCU to get a buff.

Flame is level 24. Almost 25, so won't be able to get back into Subway soon.

Eumenides the mini-boss is lvl 20 (plus heaps of HP) so you should go beat him up some time and see if he has the ring.

But I'll be sure to keep at least one for whoever needs it. Only requirement is 101 Treatment :)

I was there with hatshepsu, soloed all the way in but ran out of healthkits on the way, and she turned 25. She met a boss way down there somewhere but he must have been the big one, because he was red to her. He had alot of helpers and they were all standing in a cavity.

Ah yeah, you found Abmouth :) He seems to be the final boss of the Subway. Damn he is insanely tough. I don't any team who has defeated him -- and you do need a team, at least one, if not several.

I have just discovered that the ring I have is a leveling ring! When you raise it, it increases the treatment requirements and also very slowly increases the +NCU. Originally it was a +5 NCU ring for 101 Treatment. A few clicks and it's +6 for 122.

Apparently these rings sell for 6 million plus :o

Team

Postby Twiggytee » Tue Dec 17, 2002 12:21 pm

I'd be happy to head down with a team and loot loot loot.
Twiggy is up to 18... :) I know, slow going. Thats what happens when you travel 6 weeks in a row (with a crappy laptop that won't run AO).

Nice Twiggy :) Beat up Eumenides as often as possible. His spawn was ridiculous last night -- about 1 hour to 1.5 hours :( But I am happy as I now have TWO of the rings :D Not bad considering I defeated him about 6 times (he kept dropping stupid helmets..). PLUS I found the "Belt of Justice" which is a 3x belt that gives +10 Max NCU! Unfortunately it requires some 83 tokens to wear....

But now Flame is 28 and when returns to the planet I think will find himself outside the subway.

Subway

Postby Loxid » Thu Jan 02, 2003 12:22 am

I noticed that there is another subway entrance in Borealis, I'm not sure if it just takes you to the same subway, or a different one, but the entry room looks the same, it might have the same bosses etc. but I'm too high now to check it out. :-?

Yep, there is a Subway dungeon in Borealis too. It is the same layout and everything but is in fact a separate dungeon to the one in Old Athens.

Last time...

Postby Twiggytee » Thu Jan 02, 2003 6:06 pm

I went into the subway ( from OA) and hunted for several levels. When I finally bit it, we had a full team and Abmouth and his adds swatted us. I had leveled to about 27, and could no longer get in. Eumenides was heavily camped by some people who had been in there a while; as at level 26, they were red... And smelled bad :)

I think the Borealis Subway might not be as busy, but no doubt Eumenides would still be camped strongly.

When I was in the OA Subway I met people who would move between both Subways to fight the bosses in both.
