Hehe you can tell this is a FunCom game - Dreamfall looks like AO mashed with Conan! I'm really looking forward to it though ;)

Funny you say that because soon after I posted those screenies I headed to the Dreamfall forum and there are lots of posts from people who can't even install the game due to an installer bug hahaha.... and then there seem to be many issues with driver compatibility, crashes, etc... sigh.

Well, you all know I'd still be skipping around, happy as can be, in AO if it had not been for the Shadowlands Expansion. Did NOT like the 200+ levelling experience AT ALL. Lost Eden just looks...dumb...too. Like trying to revive an old lady after she's passed on due to old age. O.o
Wasn't too interested in Conan either. Something about playing a game where I know the storyline...doesn't much appeal to me. :\

I've been trying Dreamfall for a bit and it's more of an interactive story rather than an adventure in the Kings Quest sense. The story has been getting a lot of praise and it does seem pretty interesting (although if it plays out like I think it does it's a bit predictable). The game does seem to have been developed with the X-Box a bit too firmly in mind though, so you've got loading in parts of the cities every 1-2 minutes or so. However I've heard that the people that play adventure games seem to have the worst average specs on their pcs compared to any other gamer, so I guess it might as well be like that to avoid it becoming a slideshow for the workstations of the previous decade.

I've got a nice shiny new PC & it runs like a dog - the movement is totally unintuative & you cant change keys - just pick layouts.. and they obviously didnt have a left handed tester

Annoying - as the story IS good - but I struggle to force myself to play with the keys/movement.

Don't think this would interest me, even if it does look stunning.

If any of you guys ever got to play this game then youll know its not an mmorpg! It is in fact a great old Adventure game! with riddles and such, and little stuff you need to do, with a lot of fantasy mixed in, all in all i tried it once, and completed it. But its not a game i would do twice to be honest..

if we put technical drawbacks aside (like clumsy control e.g), this is one of the best adventure games I have played and THE ONLY ONE which really touched my "emotional strings", through the course of the game I rally grew attached to the heroes and cared what happened with them.

have played it twice. second time with Nvidia 3D Vision technology.. amazingly good looking! ^^
