I just bought myself a Wii, and was curious if anyone had any suggestions on games for me to try out? As the control system is a bit weird it is pretty difficult to determine if a game is good or not just by how it reads on the page from the maker (the dissapointment with 'Red Steel' was horrible, that game was unplayable but all trailers made it look kickass).

So ye any game sugestions post em here, and if you wanna post ur Wii console name we can maybe get some online games going

ah cool i used to love rayman games! Do you actually get to play as Rayman in the game though? I might pop down to blockbusters and see if i can rent it

I bought zelda yesterday which is pretty cool, but the controls kinda suck

What about Super Mario Galaxy? I have not tryed it myself. But it seems to be pretty fun ^^
I guess also Paper Mario is great if you like roleplaying games.

(I have not tryed a Wii yet, so dont know about the games. But i want to buy a Wii when i have enought money )

i had a little go on super mario galaxy at my friends a few months back, and i sucked at it but i might ask him to lend me it now i'm better with the wii controller

Zelda Twilight princess is a must. will allso recommend you to download Zelda Ocarina of Time from the virtual consol(1000 points)

and stay away from No More Heroes. fantastic reviews and i was fooled into buying it, but the game was shait. if you get it cheap it might be worth a try i think its supposed to be Wiis version of GTA

you should allso stay away from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoniex ( had to know how it was to wave a wand ) and Call of Duty.

Prince of Persia was pretty good.

and theres alot of nice old games on the virtual consol if you're into late 80's early 90's gaming

i did buy Zelda Twilight Princess off a recommendation of my friend, but nded up selling it due to being dissapointed in the controls, i might but it again after i finish a few of the old Zelda games on the virtual console first though, as it might inspire me

I will keep checking the bargain bins for No More Heroes then, but i did buy Geometry Wars Galaxy which is ridiculously amazing Similar to the old Geometry Wars, but it has a kind of arcade mode, where you have to do lots of different styles of mission with lots of new enemies, and you progress taking over the universe. Then i bought Super Monkey Ball: Bananana Blitz after i used to play the oriinal for game cube, and was severly dissapointed Do not buy it, also do not buy Maro Party, bored to hell with that too, althoguh i only played these minigame based games, with 2 people, so maybe with more people it might be a bit better

i would have to go with you on the Zelda Twilight princess game.

but mario party is not fun at all, once you've played it enough times.

and get Super smash bros:Brawl, now that is a fun game, no matter what you play in it.

i have only heard bad things about Red Steel, so i suppose i would not reccomend that, but that is second hand knowledge.

and geometry wars is quality, a bit tricky to get the controls at first, but fun once you got them sorted. smash bros is definately worth buying, my most played game i believe, wii fit is also pretty cool if you fancy getting that.

- wii sports
- wii fit
- geometry wars galaxies
- zelda twilight princess (i got bored, but im not much of a single player kinda guy)
- super mario galax (everyone else likes it, although im not too happy about it)
