Live from E3!

Surprise. Im curently here..sitting in some random Holiday Inn, in this horrible place called L.A......why cant they hold this convention other places?


Anyway, just got back from it...its around 7:30, and my ears hurt. Will I go back tomorrow? Prolly. Im getting free crap and It makes me happy.

Anyway, Ive been spending my entire time bumming around the Nintendo booth. Why none of the others? Well......because they suck. Sony has nothing interesting, ditto for Msoft. Sure they got a few nifty prerendered movies of their next consoles, But i noticed maybe two demos from both camps that was ingame. So here it is..my impressions.

Consoles:
Ive seen em all up close. My impressions.

PS3- Nifty little gadget. Its got some tough guts but the thing looks like Sharper image got ahold of a George Foreman grill (Yes ive seen that one photoshopped image....I was thinking it way before I saw it though). The design is sleek, but it just seems like more of the same. And that controller? It looks like a goddang boomerang. And Ill have to agree with the thousands of forum users......women will LOVE it *Wink*.

XBOX 360- THis console has one of the dumbest names ever, and one of the dumbest looking consoles ever. Pictures dont do this thing justice....this console is really...REALLY ugly. Its like taking a steel Tower case and beating the sides with a sledge. Its got some nice stats, but the demos they showed looked like things my PC could do a year over a year ago. The controllers alright.

Revolution- Only reason I saw this one was because i pulled a few strings (Read: Offering my first born), and i was able to get into Nintendo's press conference. And i must say.....the Revolution is a sexy piece of hardware. It looks like a Flash memory card....but that thing is pretty freaking sexy. It would be the only console i would gladly sleep with. Anyway...they didnt reveal much about it, so I cant really say what its gonna be like....but if you watched the movies of those press conferences, you might have heard the cheers that came up when thay said "Every Nintendo game ever...:".....lets just say it was 10x louder. My jaw dropped and I gave a good cheer at that.

Nintendo's was the only one i could get into btw....next up..the few games Ive played.

DS-
\I spent my time mainly around the DS booth. Why? Because Nintendo just announced to the world the kickass plans it has for bringing it online.

Animal Crossing DS- Oh my god this game is gonna rule. The 5 minutes I spent playing that online (Apparently with the voice of Mario....Mario has a voice actor?), were great. THe game is actually an upgrade from the GC version. A err.....shpere-y..like world (Dont ask). If youve played the GC version..its the same...only..NEW STUFF! And ...ONLINE!

Mario Kart DS- I got this one in just before I left. This my friends....is why I bought a DS. I dont like racing games..but i do like cart racers....and there is no contest...this is the single best cart racer ever. I didnt even play online (Just against the people next to me...might I add that i got 2nd....beating out a guy from G4 tv and a guy from Gamespot.) and I had a blast. i could only play one race but it was so.........It was like sex in cart racer form.

Thats all. other than that, I mingled with a buncha people (Some people from games sites....etc), talked to the booth babes, and got free stuff (Ive got a DS cart that has the Zelda trailer on it!), then it was off to bother yall.

Comming Soon- Its go time, E3 is drawing to a close..and theres still free stuff. Ill also be suiting up for my search for Eden, and I brave the crowds in search of a Legend.

And those are my clues for next time.

Quicky update..Idont have time to type up a nice little review, as Im getting packed uo right now. Ill only have enough time for some tea and the morning news before catching my plane to Houston.

But heres a shorty:

I went to a post E3 party......with booth babes. For those that know me much, I sadly cant drink due to liver issues, but I did have this one booth babe flirting with me all night, which was fun.
The show itself? Not much different. The biggest game, and pretty much the only reason everyone was there, was the playable Zelda demo. And i was lucky enough to play it. For those who hated Wind Wakers graphic style (Which I loved), youll like this ones style, although I did notice a few cartoony things. Im pretty sure its keeping alot of the cartoon stuff into it, but mkaing it more...anime styled. The demo kicked ass by the way.

And yes..my search for the Lost Eden was successful. I saw the movie....it was nothing impressive, cept for Old Athens.....The new OA is so badass that I now want to get back into AO. THe mech=meh, the city=nerdgasm.

And for free stuff? Yeah I got that.
