Cerberus forum theme

Postby Flameforge » Wed Oct 05, 2005 5:05 pm

If you would like to use the new Cerberus theme, you will need to go into your Profile and select it there.

So you probably have noticed something looks different :P

Instabil has knocked up this cool forum theme for us! It's kind of still under testing so there may be some small probs - if so, just post and let us know.

Couple of comments/suggestions I have:
  • Would like to see underlines on links within posts again
  • Sticky icon looks stretched
  • Maybe some more obvious division between posts? Maybe make the "back to top" row a darker brown (background?)
  • Perhaps "Log out" and the PMs could go on one line

Nice job

Just updated cerberus.css with the link underline, since I could easily work that one out ;)

Great work :)

Edit : can more "prominent" new posts icon be added? Playing on lap-top, there's too little color change for me to spot difference.

Edit #2 : can be "Home" button on top be changed to "forum/forum index"?

Thanks guys,

As you may notice most of the images/icons are currently "stolen" from AO forum... first I think they look good...secondly I am a total gimp at graphics so I can't make my own icons...therefore this theme will have to use borrowed icons and graphics.

This is currently cerberus_v1.2 implemented... v1.3 is being tweaked and your input and suggestions are welcome...already seen a few things I need to change.

Will try and summarize the changes for cerberus_v1.3:

1. "Home" button leads to forum index instead of Cerberus Main site, will add a separate button for that.

2. Rework "Topic review" that for some reasons still runs on subSilver theme (???)

3. Make divider between posts more obvious.

4. Keep looking for better icons

I think it already does :)

This icon apears next to every thread that has a new post in it...
Or are you talking about the main page (index) ?

I like it but my personal problem with it is I had it on the silver theme so I could camouflage it more when I alt tab in work lol. I gotta think of something else now :P

Well done here, it looks awesome :)))

Lol… well, I started to master the fine and ancient art of shadow awareness, using sight rather than sound so any movement within the light radius of the open plan office could be monitored and acted upon with immediate effect but I have a narrow area directly behind me which cannot be seen :(( So turning slightly left and right like a radar has started to make me look like a friggin loon lol

Jpegg,

Think you need to set FULL DEF and boost Perception & Concealment... go l33t deluxe and start Sneaking.
