The startup area consists of 2 fighting areas, u crashland on RK and r greeted by a nurse. U then do your normal load nano's, weapons and raise skills.
Jump to the island just in front of u and u get to fight normal RK mobs. More variety of mobs, new items drop (tried tradeskills windows with these as some appeared like the Jobe weapons, but to no avail) but otherwise very little different.
U can run through a tunnel which will take u up to the top of the island. This area is damned confusing. If you keep going straight you will come to some NPC vendors. To your left is an arena where aliens spawn like rabbits on viagra. Go through this arena, u will not get aggro unless u attack, and u will come to more vendors and the whompas through a door. These vendors are aligned and won't talk to you until you have signed with a recruiter (Omni or Clan, didn't see a Neut but wasn't really looking).
After you have chosen ur alignment you can buy 2 things from the vendor, a pair of specs and an armour upgrade badge.
Now you go back to the other vendor where u can get the armour (similar to Sundance Armour). By applying the armor upgrade kit this become levelling, nodrop armour

The starter weapons now do more damage than they used to, I had hits of 10-20 points of damage (I started a fixer btw
) and real burst fire. This marks a change from the 4 points of damage in the RK BY's and the immediate need to upgrade your starter weapon.
