Flexible alloy legs

Has anyone ever come across "Flexible Alloy Legs"?? I found a bloke called Inventor Bobic who is looking for these...

Yes that's a quest too, much like the dodga one. You get him different body parts, but I fail to remember what he gives you in return. Some lowie specials I presume.

Bobbic Quest (spoilers)

Postby Twiggytee » Sun Oct 27, 2002 3:45 pm

Twiggy just finished this one. So it must be low-level :)
You do not get much, but I was after the XP. You kill a Mutilated Shade for Legs, Mutilated Claw for Brain, Mutilated Eye-Q for Scanner (only the mutilated variety drop the requisite bits). All of these critters can be found around that area - Western Tir Approach, Striking Ant Forest, Rocky Outcroppings, Tir County...

I had my cool biker helmet, to go with my cool biker trech, but the hood is so much better.

That hood is groovy.

I think they've done a really good job with these quests for lower levelers. This Bobic one is good, plus the Rathunter one, and more!

Hood is good, but lacks style

Postby Twiggytee » Sun Nov 03, 2002 4:03 pm

Anyway, for now it will have to be function over form... I always did prefer style over substance myself... I did the Tirbo Ratcatcher quest; I was told to hang on to any undamaged roller-rat tails, then I found the guy and handed them over. Pretty easy. Alas, already had better armor than he gave Twiggy. :(

Sounds like you're up with the fashions, amon-ra ... or perhaps making them ;) Unfortunately, yes, function often takes precedence.

If memory serves correctly, with Tirbo even though the armour might not be too good, you get some XP and cred. I have a lowbie who was a bit strapped for cash on a purchase -- went and shot some rats for almost quick income generator.

There's one NPC I always wished had a quest to give, and that's an atrox near some buildings on the hill behind West Athen. He's a crack-up -- offers to play you a tune on his banjo and rambles about mushrooms.

Amon-ra, I didnt know who you were before so I had not given you the right access. Would have been alot easier if you used Twiggytee as username instead :)

That would have been far too simple.

I wasn't thinking clearly...
