Omgz!! We get to sick it to 'em!! woohoo :)

Also, modest exitement over the pet pathing issue....as usual, I have no real hopes of it getting better at all.

Hah, I was just telling my workmate here I feel like Gollum... he who both loves and hates himself... drawn to the power of the One Game.

Some day... ;)

Did anyone notice that in the screenshots and the newsletter that the wording was 'new playfields' ie. plural?

Not all of us are that slow ;) just the old boys of this guild u know... venerable that they are, sometimes slow on the uptake... :-''

Anyway, as much as I like shiny new graphics, I'm worried that more serious problems are being ignored over polishing things that work fine... purely for a marketing reason (EQ2/WoW anyone...)

Also, I hope that the new playfield(s) are gonna be instanced in some way or it will just turn into more grief like hecklers are now... :(

And lets also hope that the market is protected from destruction if we ever rebuild our HQ.... otherwise all those luverly items u've deposited might just vaporise :|

Sheesh, that was all very negative... *slaps self* patch good, need patch, shiny graphics weeee

The graphics part of the news has been worked on for quite some time, I heard about it some 10 months ago, and was told it was to be implemented around the end of the year (might be a bit later than that I guess). The person who was working on the graphics update at the time was working on the new engine that FC has aquired for the not yet announced new MMORPG's. My guess is that they want to use the same engine for AO and the new games, that will make the content designers able to only use one tool for graphics/playfields in the new games as well as AO, and can't be a bad thing. I'd guess that the graphics update as such hasn't stolen that much resources from other AO staff if my informant is correct.

Sorry to disappoint you F, but I'm still not connected to FC in any way but for the fact that I'm playing a game made by them :)
