Being a huge fan of scary movies for the last 20 years, this is far from the best ever though.

If you can get hold of Dario Argentos Phenomena I'd highly recommend it - it'll be well worth it

Oh and the original Evil Dead - is a must see. So are the other 2 follow-ups but they're more comedies than anything else.

Hehe, the Evil Dead films are hilarious... but The Grudge still has me lying awake in bed half the night listening to the creaking noises from the attic and watching bullshit on TV to take my mind off the images in my head. Must... find... sleeeeep

Maybe I'll check out Phenomena a bit later... when I can stomach it /me is a sucker for torture

Well I have to admit that I am the proud owner of Army Of Darkness, the third Evil dead tongue in cheek movie and I think it's superb Some of the one liners in that movie and the chacters are the funniest I've seen It's an absolute classic

I not seen The Grudge though yet or Phenomena, I'm gonna have to see these )

I thought The Ring was freaky more than anything though, rather than scary

I've never liked scary movies much. They are usually not very frightening or interesting enough to satisfy me. Tho I really liked the first Alien movie.. That was scary.

I never seen whole first Alien...always fall asleep during it.

Another nice one is (original) The Thing. I'm kinda sucker for B production.

I also really like the second Alien movie too, mainly because of the characters and how well they were put together ))

omg guys - see 'Ring' - the original which the (bad) american The Ring copied...

Now that's a good film if you're alone

But yeah - The Thing rocks - the head with its spider legs...

On the advice i bought both The grudge(japense version dubbed) and a tale fo twin sisters. Was kind of disapointed by the grudge, maybe it was the dubbing, might check out the new release AM holding off on the other title as i need to be in the right frame of mind for a subtitled film.
