Others say.. OHH I got this and sold for xxxM.. I tried camping good stuff.. always ODed and I know life of a Doc no complaints. .. I wont die now at least.. just cant do the dmg... can't do the dmg until I can upgrade.. cant upgrade without credits... I am in a catch 22 and ao is starting to me no fun...

I love (loved???) this game.. but now it is something I can't.. or won't do, let me know.. I guess we all play this game for different reasons... Mine is not being alone and farming or camping just to get enough credits to advance. That is NOT fun for me... Don't worry all of you I owe... Then Funkyy when I lvled today.. took me there and I did it as real member... SEE that is ao for me and I wish NOT credits... but I cant do credits... not me... hate every minute at gms... hate it all... so when I pay all that I am gone... I can't play a game that is based now on how much I can make... no fun... so when I pay back all you great cerbs I am gone... not a game now to me. its is can you get enough credits to advance and that is no fun

No, I find it hard to beleive that you would have to be a billionair to play this game. Sure, credits will let you buy those shiny objects everyone claims you need. But do you realy need all that stuff to have fun?? I have 89 mill to my name, wich I made from selling symbiants in my shop. I have spent 80 mill buying stuff since I startet this game. The rest I have gotten from raids or camping for it myself. But I do not spend my online time turning bucks...hell no, that is just boring. Atleast it is for me.

For the GMS, all I ever use that for, is when I am looking for something I need myself, or to check what others are asking for an item I would like to sell. Just find what is cheapest and sell for the same price.

But if you think that 34 bosses on RK is a lot, then it is not. The items dropping from these bosses that have any value at all, doesnt drop in great numbers. Else it would not have great value. Camping is sadly a part of the game that it is pretty hard avoid. At one point or another, you need to sit and wait for some boss/mob to spawn.

But there is no _one way_ to play this game. It is enterly up to you have you want to do things. Do you want to do missions with friends, sit and chat all day long, buy and sell stuff to earn credits, do raids all day, do RP or a combination of all? The world is your oister mate.

PS. anyone telling you that you need to have tons of credits to play this game, is a daft dumbass that think MMORPG are games you can acctually win, like it was counterstrike or pac-man.

One can play the game being a poor sob all the way. Worked fine for me heh. Just, yes, gotta bring lots of time with you. That's the only disadvantage. Plus... all the rinsing and repeating. But hey.. life's shit, why should virtual life be any better, eh? ehe

Best thing to do if ur going to run dynas in any of the zones is to take mostly empty BPs and collect everything u can, then get a trader to sell it for u. Specialised(M2 for those Murder illiterate of u) would probably b ok with doing that. U may camp for 4 hrs and get nothing that sells to players but end up with 10-15m from just selling junk.

And no u don't need ubar amounts of creds to play game. Just upgrade when and if u can. I've seen plenty of toons decked out in non AI or tier armor doing pretty well.

If u want to know the best way to farm then I'd say there isn't one. My own tactic for not getting too bored with it are thus....

Put aside a week of playtime at a time to farming. Never farm same things everytime. I have a round robin of system Symbs, FRNs, dynas, RK tradeskill stuff(sf, 190+ gold, notum, cold stones etc), cru(which I am terrible at) and RK mission blitzing. U could add things like arul gems to that. The only down side is a bank of half finished projects once I am bored with whatever I've been doing. With everything that u do always pick up everything that makes u creds.....so is best to set urself up with an inv full of empty BPs.

If u find u get bored with the grind of lvling at all, u can always explore RK. Find it much more fun than SL. I only grind a lvl at a time an then I go off doing other stuff until I feel like another. Bear in mind that altho I do good DD now, back at 204 I wasn't so good. My symbs were below par and my armor was tier1. Alts will always drain off ur revenue faster than u can make it. Especially if u make a twink at any point

Thanks for all the Ideas, and really, farming, camping, blitzing mishes, or even grinding them out, are fun to me... I really don't mind thatat all... What I hate is the selling of them... I go to gms... and do go lower then what is listed there.. put it in my shop and there it sits, except for the cold stones I find!! I did sell quite a bit one day... all to the same person from our org. I am not sure he would want me to use his name, but almost everything he bought was pretty worthless to his character class, and I do thank him for doing it... Everything else just sits there... Running to my shop, opening it up, and seeing 0 credits does get me down. I will try, as I want to be a good doc... and right now I don't feel like I am because I am falling behind what my lvl should be able to do... I wont give up.

I have a deal for anyone lol. I collect as much as I can... give all to you and we split the profits 50/50. That would save someone the time of going out and getting, and save me from doing the part of this game I hate to a maximum degree. I was about to give up playin some time ago, cause I read the ao forums where "everybody" soloed Abmuth in subway about lvl 12, armed with cushions and sunglasses. And "everybody" should wear AI armor and top symbiants before tl5. And of course, if you didnt have the top weapon or top nano at all times you were doin something wrong. And "everybody" knew their exact job in teams and raids, they who didnt where noobs or froobs below lvl 150. Above 150 they where hecknoobs.
Btw, thats why I didnt team much, I believed the "everybody" part of it and was afraid of ruin somebodys day. Cause I didnt knew how everything worked.
At last I asked myself, why am I playin?
Because I want to have fun of course. So screw all the "everybodys", I dont have the top gear, I dont have the norwegian oil money to spend Im just a gimp running around doin my own mistakes AND HAVING FUN!
Do what you want to do Leo, dont let any other decide how you want to play.

Some of my stuff sits in shops for weeks and weeks.....months on a couple of occasions. As long as ur putting things in ur shop that sell then they'll all go. Maybe a bit of research into what sells. Think what u see everyday being worn or carried by toons. Some nanos are a must and are rollable, but for some reason not everyone wants to do a mission for one and u'll be suprised how much they sell for(one is my secret and I will divulge at later date). Don't give up on shops dude, they're pretty handy. Fill it up and got back a month later when u want something and....cor....a reasonable amount sits there. The trick is selling what sells well.

Lianti and I used to spend time with each other farming embryos and visions for T1 armour in Scheol. It’s a mundane task but when you live apart and just play to spend time with each other, that’s where we spent most of our time. We had 5 shops going at once and every one used to be filled with T1 glyphs, selling at 2 - 2.5 million a glyph, 50 mill per shop. We used to clear all 5 every week. I’m not sure of the going rate but when we farmed, there were players with free accounts wanting SL and paying full subscription coming out of the woodwork. We both left game with just under a billion credits between us still on our characters. After symbiant sales died down, Lianti always had new ideas for money making schemes. We do a similair thing in WoW now and have made 700 gold in just under 3 weeks, just in time for Lia’s epic mount.

There’s money to be made in a lot of simple things. The trick is not to sell items worth a lot of money, but sell a lot of items everyone is going to need.

Hey Leo, I wouldn't worry about being uber and all that, since docs become very powerful at high levels and can solo mobs that nobody else can (ok it takes time, but still).

If you need anything in particular, just post on our exchange forum or ask in GC, and I'm sure most things that aren't too doc-specific can be obtained quite reasonably that way.. or just borrowed I suppose you still need to get your nodrops and nanos though, and frankly I don't know the best way for docs to make credits. Raiding with a raid bot and bidding on items that can sell is one option, camping bosses another, and tradeskilling a third option. Just a few suggestions, all are quite viable.

One of the main reasons I went with MP prof is that you can go out completely naked and still have your top pets. It's not so dependant on equipment...at least until the very highest levels.

For credits, dyna farming can be fun and rewarding...especially trying to solo a boss several levels higher than you....it really tests you.

I'm thinking that pattern farming could be a good earning also...either sell the parts or spawn the PB yourself for loot (Cerb team always available for that!) And they can be fun to kill also.

Biggest prob I have with the game is that I don't know about 90% of the stuff I could be doing. Hecks get boring after a while, missions become repetitive (team mish are still fun). I'd love to have a guide that says "at Char Level 'x', you should be able to do 'y' and here's how to do it, and where to go'. Sometimes, I still feel like a lost noob on my first day in-game.

Don't worry about not having all the best armour etc. I am slowly getting Legrandchef his tier 3 armour but it is very expensive - Tier 2 is anyway. I shall not bother with this for any of my other alts because it is too much money which takes too long for me to earn. I long ago realised the Chef is too squishy to camp mobs that have any really good drops or I would be OD'd anyway. I just don't play the game with large amount of credits. I look at the gms quite a bit, especially when I don't have time to do longer missions or heck killing. It is reasonable fun although not rib-crackingly so, to look for something which is going cheap and sell it at a small profit. It gives enough to provide reasonable funds. I have only 20 mill in my account atm though. The people who have lots of so-called ueber items have usually spent a very great deal of time camping things, earning raid pts or doing some trade skills. I am not prepared to do wall-to-wall camping to earn credits. The one thing I have done to earn money is level an omnitek enforcer to farm patterns for the weary empath at Scheol redeemed. It doesn't make me stinking rich but you don't need a lot of the stuff that people spend mega creds on anyway. Play the game your way.

Having spent some billions on equipment I think I can offer my $0.02 here. Most of the equipment that can be bought in the game isn't necessary to actually enjoy the game. The only reason I used a lot of money on equipment is that as an Engineer you won't be able to selfcast the best nanos ever without having some equipment that raises your nanoskills. That said I bought most if not all my tier3 equipment in order to get some extra skillpoints, although that was not nearly enough to cast the highest lvl nanos at lvl 220. Since I was more or less broke when AI was launched (can't have had more than 6-700 millions to my name ) I farmed the stuff needed for the AI armor through raids and raidpoints instead, which was both fun and gave some xp in the process

Just shop is full. all under what I saw in gms... it is full. nothing sold and now 2 more packs full I could put there.... oh well. lol you ideas all did work. but if I cant see them and shop full, I still lose lol. Certain items are shopfood, and nothing more than that. Just because other people are trying to sell it for a profit, doesnt mean it acctually sells. I would give some of those bags to a high level trader and have him sell off lock and stock in the tradershop. He would also let you know what you should keep in shop for the future.
