Postby Volais » Sun Jul 27, 2003 2:20 pm

I am...Im having a little trouble with my character (keeps gettin this odd glitch..) but so far its nice...the game is VERY pretty btw...the best looking MMORPG ive seen yet....that includes Everquest 2(Ok...so it looks good on the High graphics setting...). You guys will love it.

Also....Ive gotta surprise for you guys! Its these little items you get if you play the beta...but as Im afraid of breaking the NDA...ill have to wait till funcom lifts the NDA to show it to ya...

From our discussion the other day, you'll know I'm not in the beta. I did consider downloading it from work (and hoping the admin dudes didn't notice the 1GB transfer spike) but I wouldn't be able to get it home, heh.

Ah well, hope you're enjoying it.

been there done that, just had to try out the 2 new professions, must say that I'm pretty impressed with those atleast, just checking in at SL now and then to test the updates, don't wanna go in and spoil too much adventuring though.

I've tested it and didnt really liked it. But honestly I haven't played very much.
Before I started AO I tried EQ and didnt really like the fantasy setting. I chosed AO mainly on the Sci-Fi Hi-Tek future setting, as it suits my love for futuristic hi-tek worlds. Now I get the feel its growing towards some mystic world or something. But I don't know. I havent played SL so much yet so...

get your head out of ze gutter Wire.

As for you big....ehh...just remember that Shadowlands is supposed to be run by a computer system...and jobe is futureistic.

Also, if you play, we can always meet up on Rubi-Ka!

I'm actually looking forward to the development of the "mystical/spiritual" side of things (if that's really what SL will do). AO already has connections to the ideas of souls, alternate planes/realms, "special powers", etc. I know there was flaming about this on the forums, though, with people not liking the "religious" overtones and stuff.

It is separating a little from a solid futuristic, technological, science-based feel, I will admit.
