Angry music, and pretty much anything The Cure has done. New Order , Depeche mode, Beastie Boys, Misfits.
Oh and any woman vocalist that can harmonize or really yell.
Blues, BB King, Muddy Waters.
Ska, really depends on my mood, and what subject matter I am painting, sketching etc.
Hum..early Red Hot Chili Peppers when they redefined funk. Primus..
and Dave Matthews..Prong..prong is really good, Pigface to.
Anyways I could go on for a long time. If I had to make any claim to a few favorites would be...Fear Of ghosts (The Cure), True faith (New order),
Sabatoge (Beastie Boys), In Your Room (Depeche Mode), Snap your fingers snap your kneck (Prong), Soul To Squeeze (Red Hot Chili peppers)..
There you go

Korn, system Of Down, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Stereophonics, Coldplay, The The, Chilli Peppers, The Cure (not listened to them for ages but am massive fan), Pink Floyd are amongst my favourites, the list goes on and on.

From my old crazy Ibiza and Northern UK clubbing days, may Cream, The Hasienda and Quadrant Park RIP :( I am still massively into the Dance and trance scene. Orbital's Belfast never fails to send shivers down my spine :))

Naaah naaah naaah naaah naaaah!

I am going to the Evanescence Concert tonight, here in Chicago!
:P :P :P :p

So... Evanescence is good...

Cold Play, some things of U2...

then I have a huuge Collection of Ambient, International Electronica, House, Chill House, Trance etc etc etc....

And, living in Chicago...

Blues, Blues, Blues, Blues....

Chances are that when I am not in my favourite pub or in front of the computer, I am lost in some Blues clubs in Chicago, un-earthing some musical treasures and building my collection of rare and small edition CDs.

Must say I am more of a 80's rock kinda guy. Don't like much of the new trance techno remix thingies out there.

Like Rene said....it totally depends on my mood....but I've gone through many phases...in highschool I was really into stuff like...Tool, KMFDM, Front Line Assembly, NIN, Prodigy, Rage Against the Machine...

Now I like just about anything....excluding country ,'boy bands' and Swedish folk music...
some favorites are Enigma, Bjork, No Doubt, The Crystal Method,Fat boy Slim, Limp Bizkit, I could go on and on......lots o' rap, hip-hop, techno, and lately I've been listening to multitudes of anime soundtracks.... :D

PS- What in the ....is a Uriah Heep.....ehhhheheh

Hehe....well, Uriah Heep is prolly most known as a character in the Charles Dickens book David Copperfield.
But, Uriah Heep were one of the really huge bands in the 70's...released their first album in '71.....and had a grand period from about '73 to 78 ish..musically a little lighter than perhaps Deep Purple, more sympho rock oriented..liked to write long songs..like 7-15 minutes....they were my very first fav band. ohh..the good times :D
btw, I forgot to mention Radiohead, Morten Abel, Vamp, and yes, I like some of the Coldplay stuff......man.....ok....stopping now! :D

as long as noone mentions Uriah Stack... ( ok, bad computer joke )

Pavement, Pixies, Will "bonnie billy" Oldham, Elliot Smith, Radiohead, Motorpsycho, Magnetic Fields, Mogwai, godspeed you black emperor!, Sigur ròs, Sonic youth, weezer, the new pornographers, Isolation years, Magnet, Grandaddy, Bob Hund, Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Who, King Crimson, The Zombies ++ alot of stuff i listen too all the time, to much to mention.

Right NOW i have Sleepy Jacksons and The Mars Volta in my stereo most of the time. Trying to get a hold of Jeffrey Lewis new album, but it`s a pain to get.

( music is a bit important to me as you might understand :) )
