Kids!

Jpegg told a story about his son, and I just had to tell you some things about kids. Being the father of 4 rascals I feel I have some experience in kids and I guess I could share some real life stories with you younger people who either don't have kids or have just got kids. I hope I wont scare you too much. For those of you who allready have kids, share a story too or just nod in agreement to what I have to say about mine :)

I thought I was smart when I got my kids fairly close to each other in age. I was thinking it would be good to get them now, so that when I'm old and grey(er) they can take care of their old man and I could sit back and enjoy their little families grow. This however wasnt really a good plan.
First of all, if you know how a well done diaper smells, you would agree that having to change them for about ten years in a row like I have is just bad planning. Not only have I dumped thousands upon thousands of dollars into diapers over the years, I've developed a strange sence of smell and feel most things just smell like.... shit?
Another bad thing about having 4 kids close in years is that they tend to gang up on you. You know when I say Bedtime! at night I get smacked. Since they are fairly short you can guess where they hit.... (aow!)
Another thing. Have you tried to get 4 kids to decide wich video they are going to see? I wish I had a discount at the local electronics department. TV's are expensive....

If you have a hard time coming to work in time during the winter, try it with 4 kids :p Tip is to start early.... Way early :)

Well, my little rugrat is 4 years old, well 5 on 29th of this month. I was taking him for his dinner in the car the other night and I got 'Daddy, if your house runs out of hair, do you die?' Now bear in mind, instead of saying eyes, he says hi's.

So I told him that it wasnt hair, it's air. I said 'say air' so he said it. He then asked again, 'so daddy, if it runs out of it, do you die?' I asked 'Runs out of?'

Leon's reply, 'Runs out of fur?'

hehe, one thing which really got him confused though once and that was, Leon ran into my kitchen and told Chikitaa that he was going to smack her english bum. I have no idea what posessed him to say that but she turned around and obviously cos she's welsh, told him that she doesnt have an english bum. That mega confused the poor guy.

He's so funny though, I've had him sat on my knee while playing ao, flying out of Camelot and over Avalon, all he wanted me to do was fly into 'all that orange juice on the mountains'

hehe, heaven save us from the forum about kids ;) I could go on and on.

They change your life, so they do but they change it in a way where you never wonder what it was like before they came along. So in a way, your life doesnt change, it just becomes a life with your child being the biggest part to play. I can't even remember the days surrounding Leon's birth because there was so much on my mind at the time. I remember Lisa being on the ward in hospital the night before and I bought Mc Donalds for the her and the three girls who were in the beds next to her. Lisa had a cesarian section (have no idea how its spelled) and i fainted right at the start when I should have been taking her mind off it by talking crap to her. I woke up halfway through tho and tried to carry on as though I hadnt been unconscious.

Then after his fingers and toes had been counted, he'd been weighed and Lisa carted off to recover, I sat in a room with him to myself and told him things about how I felt knowing he wouldnt remember the words but it was my voice which mattered. He cried and I talked for ages.

Kids are great and I wouldnt change Leon for the world.
