The way I see it home may as well really be Home in Broken shores....
In this world of notum anything goes...but I know how I'd wish to construct important portal...strong and dreaded... to secure safe way back and to warn uncalled of danger behind it...
As many of you I'm frequent visitor to city of Home...but I can still remember awe at seeing Great Piramid for the first time...the sense of trill exploring it's gate and scurrying it's walls for secret entrance....
And how about it's just a portal..closed for now and with hidden dread behind it...accumulating, prepearing.....charging....

City of Home ain't engieniring marvel..it looks more like few huts were erracted arond those gates and over thze ages the residents have improved them and build on whereever brick has fallen...you have all seen those kind of places before...refugees camps and/or guard's outpost....when those guards were stationed for long time, not anticipating attack and just getting comfty...ask yourself...what do we know about Home at all?
