Who else wants the undead engie dead ?

Postby Mayah » Thu Oct 30, 2003 7:12 am

Hi all,

as some of you might know by now i am a bit megalomaniac and want to go to adonis at only lvl 120 :) My pass to this goal is the +3 Ring from Ergo in Scheol. The last part i need to get the Ring is a device from a mob called the "Undead Engineer". This mob can't be soloed, even if you are lvl 200. So if there are some other ppl who need this part now or for later use we could form a team to get it for us all. Anyone who might be interested or likes to offer some help please let me know.

Thank you,
Mayah

Not to be a partypoop for your aim to enter adonis, but when I did the last part of the quest and was about to receive the +3 ring, someone in my team couldnt finnish the quest due to low SK (shadow Knowledge). Now, I dont remember how high faction status you need (was extremly drunk at the time), but I seem to recolect the person needed 5000. So make sure you got that in the end of your trials to avoid disapointment. Now go kill undead engieneers and best of luck :D

uhm, i have only 2k guardian faction and i DO get into scheol.

And did you know that :

1. The undead engie spawns every 5 mins or so which means no problem with camping.

2. Only one person in the team to do the last trial needs six soul globes because the key to the trial mission that you need the globes for can be duplicated just like a normal mission key.

3. The boss mob in trial mission drops 3 pieces of the quest item you need which means that 3 ppl in a team can get the +3 ring with just doing the mission once.

I am still looking for ppl to join me to do the last piece. There have been several offers from people who also need the item or just like to help but unfortunately that does not help me a bit if they are never on at the same time or if they are don't like to do it "right now". It's also next to impossible to get a random team together for a thing like this. Doesn't look good :/

Aye I think the 5k Auropia refers to is for Adonis.

This is true for everyone unfortunately (hence froots and I are stuck in Adonis at 200), so it is probably best to enjoy Scheol as is and look on getting the ring as a bonus, it will come together sooner or later. :)

I already have the engie piece and one other for the +3 ring, but need the other 2 pieces i think.

Would be glad to help out with the engie, recommend healing lots, fixer hots as the adds are insane. At level 194 my roots and mezzes don't work very well on the spirits also just for information purposes.

if it is only the engie piece you lack. then it shouldnt be a problem. Ill help ye. but this quest, as you point out should realy be done with people who acctually need the ring. I already got one, hence I havent stepped up to the platter to join you. But if no one else is going to, then I will. Send me a tell tomorrow (sunday) and I shall do what I am capable of, to help you get that piece. Problem with that guy is his healdelta. he heals the amount of damage I am able to inflict. So a good damage dealer is preferable also. But more than 3 to take that one down shouldnt be necessary.

Ok, mission update :)

I went with Flameforge, Renegader and Clanstar to visit the undead engie today. Lucky for us he was home and greeted us right at the door :) Renegader "found" the needed piece first. We then waited around at engie's place for him to reincarnate while Renegader decided to explore a big hole in the ground and found out that it led back to RK. How convenient ;-)
In the meantime Clanstar had to leave and Flame helped me getting my piece from undead engie's 2nd apperance.
We then wen't on to visit a Yuttos guy in a floating garden. Renegader again took it on himself to explore alternative routes to our destination :)
When we finaly got into the garden Ren and me got our pieces assembled and went on to visit Ergo for the last trial of this mission.
The way up to Ergo's cave however turned out to be a dead-end for little me. Flame and Ren did their best to clear the path to get me safely to Ergo's cave but the mobs on this path are a real pain and they respawned faster than they could kill em. We almost made it into the cave but in the end 20 agro mobs hitting away on me was just too much. The density of agro mobs in this area is just insane.
Anyway, Flame and Ren did a great job helping me up there and i would like to thank them for that once more !! :) Maybe we can try this again soon with a bigger team and/or different approach (run like hell). Ren wasn't in the mood to do the last trial alone so maybe we can give it another try tomorow (sunday). Feel free to join us if you like :)

I dread this quest, as it indeed requires teaming to succeed :/ Just one thing, make sure there's nobody in the Ergo cave if you decide the 'run like hell' appraoch, since this will pull many aggro spirits in with you and will most likely cause some grief for ppl who already made it there.

When I went, I had 3 TL5+ helpful omnis with me, but that wasn't enough to keep me alive. I think I'll try this later when the the mobs are all grey to me and I've finished my Tier 1 quest. Wish you good luck tho Mayah, gotta give you credit for having high goals :)
